Best Friend

What is in a best friend?

Someone who is there for you...
In an email..
On the phone..
A card or a letter or a parcel in the mail..
In stuff in your scrapbook that they sent you
In thought..
In prayer...

A best friend would never ask you to...
change your weight
change your hair
change you personality

A best friend will stick by you no matter what...
if you are sick physically or mentally
if you are having problems at home with your family
if you are having problems in school
if you are having problems at work

A best friend will rejoice with you...
when you get a promotion at work
when you get a A in school
if something good happens to you or your family
if you get something you've always wanted
when you fall in love 

I am so grateful you are my best friend...and it doesn't matter to me if...
...you live in another state in the USA
...or in another country
...or several time zones away
...or only able to talk online a few days a week

Sometimes you have to set me straight if I'm not doing something right..

It often takes a great friend to tell you something you may not want to accept or believe about yourself but they do it cause they care and want you to be happy not sad....

I hope to meet all of my best friends in person one day and....
...and give you a big hug
...and talk for hours
...and see where you live
...and do things together like shop or stuff like that
...and meet people you call friends or family too...
